In 2016, our founders wanted to feed their dogs - named Edgard and Cooper - pet food they could feel good about. The kind of food that was as good for the planet as it was for their pets. But when they couldn't find this, they decided to make their own. Now, 6 years later, our pack has 200 employees and we are beyond proud to be part of the B Corp movement.

What type of breed are we looking for? 🐕

Edgard & Cooper produces high-quality pet food. Why do they need developers? Because we are proud we develop our digital platforms in-house, by using state of the art modern technologies!

In order to continue the continuous growth in our B2C e-commerce development team, we are looking for an extra experienced web developer. 

The perfect candidate is keen to work with the latest web technologies, has a hands-on mentality and likes to try out new things by experimentation. "I can't do this because I don't know it." is something you rarely say; instead you say "I can learn this!". Although a solid experience is nice, we value learning on the job very highly.

What will be in your bowl? 🥗

You join an existing team composed of an architect, functional analyst + webmaster and two developers. Together with the team, you collaborate on our microservice and event-driven e-commerce platform. You will work on the entire tech stack of the e-commerce platform (frontend and integration).

• Develop new features
• Optimize existing features
• Continuously improve performance and security of our deployments
• Develop our open API for our Product domain (master data)
• Discuss new projects and re-factor tasks with your fellow developers and architect.
• Participate in our agile working (bi-weekly sprint meetings, daily standups, ...)
• Introduce and optimize DevOps processes that increase quality (code reviews, automated CI/CD processes, ...).
• Help migrate our legacy tech stack towards a serverless and event-driven architecture.

What skills & tricks should you bring? 🤹

We are looking for an experienced developer with experience in one or more of the following domains. 

• Next.js / React.js 
• Node.js runtimes (serverless functions)
• Development language(s): Javascript, Typescript
• Microsoft Azure as integration platform
• Serverless Functions
• App Services
• Service Bus
• API Management

Your background looks something like this:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent through experience
• 2 years of relevant experience
• Located in Belgium 
  
• Proficient in Dutch
