In 2016, our founders wanted to feed their dogs - named Edgard and Cooper - pet food they could feel good about. The kind of food that was as good for the planet as it was for their pets. But when they couldn't find this, they decided to make their own. Now, 6 years later, our pack has 200 employees and we are beyond proud to be part of the B Corp movement.

What type of breed are we looking for? 🐕

In this job you will be in the product team. People of the product team are the creators & gatekeepers of our products ensuring our Edgard & Cooper ethos is embodied within our complete range.

Together with the product team and especially with your quality warrior report, you make sure that all our products are always of superior quality and delivered to perfection. So this means you will embody Product Quality for Edgard & Cooper, you will be responsible for our internal quality system, but mainly dealing at suppliers level. Essentially you will make sure our suppliers deliver us with the best product possible, on specs and we make sure that our furry customers get only the best of Edgard & Cooper. So this means you and your quality warrior will be responsible for Quality and therefore have a direct impact on Products.

What will be in your bowl? 🥗

Everything about quality : quality planning, quality control, quality assurance and quality improvement

• Ensure all supplied goods are compliant to E&C standard and regulations
• Strengthen and take the lead of all quality systems and controls internally and externally with the support of your direct report
• Implements and monitors procedures, standards and specifications
• Build a strong communication with all our suppliers and ensure proper follow-up of complaints
• Assure Audits at suppliers level 
• Ensure that E&C is always ready to succeed 100% on audits and inspections (federal food safety agency, organic certification…) 
• Provide QA support for critical R&D projects

What skills & tricks should you bring? 🤹

• At least 7 years of experiences in the (pet)food industry in quality assurance department
• Ideally you hold a Bachelor or Master degree in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, Animal Science, or other scientific disciplines with strong background in manufacturing & quality assurance
• You are easily dealing with multiple industrial suppliers, multiple challenges in European countries
• Good understanding of regulations and expectations in the petfood industry
• Not frightened to challenge the norm and ready to create the new norms internally and externally !
• Highly organized, with a strong attention to details
• Management skills of small team
• Willingness to travel within Europe
• Pawsome team player and happy to get stuck in!
