Motion Graphics Designer
London (hybrid, 2-3 days in-office)
Are you a London–based Motion Graphics Designer who is comfortable having your face licked by some of your coworkers? If so, gosh, do we have the job for you!
In addition to the occasional face lickings, you’ll be part of The Disobedient, Edgard & Cooper’s creative studio which is tasked with telling the rest of the world what over a million pets already know: That Edgard & Cooper makes amazing nutritious pet food. You’ll do so working alongside copywriters, strategists, and other designers (and yes, dogs), mostly using digital touchpoints. Ideally, you’ve started to develop strong executional skills already but want to develop your conceptual thinking as well.
And if you do your job as we expect, you’ll be doing some of the best work of your career, all while helping to create one of the most iconic brands in the world. Seriously, the bar’s that high.
Responsibilities
One of our mantras is, “The worst thing you can do is everything we ask.” In other words, The Disobedient is an ideal home for creatives who are proactive self–starters – the kind of creatives that don’t limit their thinking to what they’re tasked with. All that said, there are plenty of things we do ask:
- Conceptualize, draft & produce joyful motion graphics. Your focus is on videos, but we have a wider need for all sorts of creative assets.
- Manage your own creative projects. You will be working closely together with other disobedient copywriters, marketeers & designers.
- Solve an array of challenges through visual design. You’ll play an active role from concepting to executing.
- We’re a scale-up, you’re a designer – life is full of surprises, so we’ll likely throw in some other fun stuff to do. We promise it won’t bite.
Skills & Capabilities
Considering the breadth of ways we’re bringing Edgard & Cooper to life, odds are good that any talent or passion you have could find a home here as well – so feel free to tell us what you love doing. In the meantime, it would also probably be helpful to check a few of these boxes:
- You have a few years of experience in motion graphics, ideally with some brand and campaign work under your belt.
- You’re fluent in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign. Bonus points for Cinema 4D or anything else.
- You’ll constantly find new ways to apply our brand standards, to keep the work always fresh.
- You’re a natural multitasker and know how to prioritise, even when 3 Slack threads, 2 briefs, and 1 curious dog are competing for your attention.
- You feel comfortable speaking with colleagues across the company, and can manage different briefs from different people at the same time.
- You have a healthy dissatisfaction with everything you’ve ever done – one that serves as a motivation to constantly improve.
Other Things That Make Edgard & Cooper Edgard & Cooper

- You’ll enjoy company retreats to meet each other in person, as we’re spread across Europe.
- You’ll have flexibility to work from home to enjoy a better work-life balance.
